Association of University Presses (AUP)
ACUP/APUC is a member of the Association of University Presses (AUP), an international community of publishing professionals, publishing houses, and institutions who seek to “ensure academic excellence and cultivate knowledge.” As a member of AUP, ACUP/APUC members advocate for the role of scholarly publishing in the distribution of the fruits of research and scholarship to the broadest audience.
The Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences / Fédération des sciences humaines
In addition to promoting research and teaching, the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences organizes the largest gathering of Canadian academics at the annual Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences. The Federation also administers the Awards to Scholarly Publications Program—a competitive funding program that assists Canadian academics in the publication of advanced scholarship in the humanities and social sciences.

Journal of Scholarly Publishing
Published by the University of Toronto Press, the Journal of Scholarly Publishing (JSP) is a quarterly journal that includes articles on issues unique to the scholarly publishing industry. In addition to having documented the history of achievements and challenges in the industry, JSP also engages in philosophical and practical analysis of concerns facing university presses and the scholarly communications environment.

Livres Canada Books
Livres Canada Books is an important partner of ACUP/APUC members that supports Canadian-owned and controlled book publishers in their book export activities. A not-for-profit organization based in Ottawa, Livres Canada Books in the only national industry association for English and French-language book publishers that works hand in hand with Canadian publishers to increase and enhance export opportunities.

Canada Book Fund – Canadian Heritage
The Canada Book Fund (CBF) operates under the umbrella of Canadian Heritage, a department of the Government of Canada. The CBF provides financial assistance to publishers through their Support for Publishers program and contributes to the marketing and promotion of Canadian-authored books through their Support for Organizations program.
